Once you have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain, Permanent Residence you have an entitlement to apply for British Citizenship provided you satisfy the requirements for the same. The main requirements to be satisfied are that you:

 

• are over 18 years old at the point of applying/ or be registered as a minor

• domiciled in the UK and will remain so

• passed the 'Life in the UK' Test

• resided in the UK for 5 years and in possession of ILR/PR for at least 12 months

• show that in the last five years you have not been outside the UK for more than 450 days and 90 days within the last 12 months

• show that you have not breached any  laws in the UK

• Good character and sound mind
